Social media has been on fire after political commentator Morris Monye threw heavy shade at government aides, saying he could never accept an SSA (Senior Special Assistant) role that pays just 100k per month. Wahalai I swear to God if I collect SSA from any State Governor to be collecting 100k per month, my steeze within my family will just die, Morris posted on X (formerly Twitter), sparking serious reactions. Delta State SSA, Ossai Ovie Success, didnt take the comment lightly. He clapped back almost immediately, calling Morris out for being disrespectful: You are talking carelessly. Are you better than those with SSA position? Morris, not backing down, responded claiming that Ossai once invited him to speak at a social media summit and that most SSAs often beg him behind closed doors. Was it not you that was begging me to come for your program as guest speaker and I turned you down? All of your fellow SSAs are always begging me for one thing or the other. Am I the governor? You people should leave me alone, he tweeted. Ossai didnt let that slide either. He accused Morris of leaking their private chats and misrepresenting what happened. According to him, the invitation was professional and came with an offer of payment, not begging. I was trying to compensate you for your services I have a social media event that Im organizing and I reached out to you just like every other speaker. How is that begging? Ossai wrote. Things quickly escalated. Ossai went on a full-blown rant, calling Morris a child with possible mental disorder and claiming Morris was disgracing the Monye family name. He also said no SSA in Delta State earns 100k and even threw in a challenge: If Morris can provide any evidence of SSA to Delta State Governor receiving 100k as salary, I will personally give him 5 million naira. I am here waiting. He added that 100k is small change to him and other SSAs, saying they use it as giveaway every three days. The fight didnt stop on X. Ossai also announced that hes taking legal action: Im taking legal action against Morris Monye After our disagreement on Twitter, he shared screenshots of our private chats. This breach of privacy is unacceptable, and Im pressing charges. Ossai insists that Morris is only pained because he wasnt featured in the widely publicised Delta Social Media Summit.
